Inauguration Day
In honor of big changes to come (we hope!) I'd say it's high time for the White House to get a exterior face lift too, don't you agree?
Try your hand at re-coloring the White House and lets see what you come up with!

I haven't figured out how to "color" and repost, yet. However...
Can we start by rippping out that pitifully thin circle of red whatevers and planting some more adventuresome color and texture. I think it is possible to show more depth and personality without losing the 18th century formal European garden feel that the Parks Service so diligently maintains.

I went for a warmer tinge.Strictly monochromatic. Agree with Cathryn on the garden!

Well, we are ushering in change, n'est pas?
Oops, apparently I couldn't make it work either. That's why we've got you Rachel. Back to my crayons now.
Cathryn- i agree they could use a garden makeover, too
Anastassis-nice work!
Elizabeth- i added more instructions so hopefully it's more clear how to post your colored image
i think it's time for "purple"!

No, Rachel, I don't agree that it's time for a face lift. lol! When it comes to coloring environments, interior and exterior, knowing what not to do is more important than knowing what to do.
I've seen the White House up close and it wears a stunner of an exterior white so my vote is to let classic and tradition be.
The landscaping is up for grabs though!
Lori- I totally agree with you

I wanted to get really detailed and paint it like a "painted lady" Victorian. I guess I was too ambitious!
